ReckonDay's calculators run entirely in your browser. The dates, times, and other values you enter into a calculator are processed locally on your device using your browser's own clock and its built-in IANA time zone database — they are not transmitted to a server to compute a result, and ReckonDay does not store the inputs or outputs of any calculation.

ReckonDay uses Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (which pages are visited, roughly how much traffic the site receives). Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish one visit from another; Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies. A display preference such as dark mode is kept in your browser's local storage and is never sent anywhere. Advertising cookies are covered under Advertising below.

If a donation or paid product purchase is made through the site, payment processing is handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor; ReckonDay does not directly receive or store your payment card details.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is stored with Brevo, our email provider, and used only to send it; every email carries an unsubscribe link. If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are delivered to our inbox through Brevo and used only to reply to you.

Because every calculator runs client-side in your browser, none of the dates, times, or names you enter into a calculator are ever logged or retained by ReckonDay's servers — a calculation you run and never revisit leaves no trace on this end, since there was never a server-side record of it to begin with.

This applies equally to the more personal-feeling calculators on the site — the Age Calculator, the Relationship Duration Calculator, the Life in Weeks Calculator, and similar tools that take a birth date, anniversary, or other personal date as input. Even though these calculators produce results that feel personal, the underlying date value itself never leaves your device to produce that result; the computation happens entirely in your browser's own JavaScript engine.

If you purchase the Life Calendar Report, the delivery process (generating and sending the printable report) necessarily involves transmitting the specific dates and milestones you choose to include, since that data has to reach the report-generation step to produce your personalized file; that transmission and any related order data is limited to what's needed to fulfill the order and is not used for any other purpose.

Advertising

ReckonDay shows display advertising through Google AdSense, which helps pay for the site and keeps every calculator free. Google and its advertising partners set cookies to serve and measure those ads, and depending on your ad settings they may use your visits to ReckonDay and to other websites to personalise what you see. Visitors from the EEA and the UK are first asked for consent in Google's own message, no personalised-advertising cookie is set without it, and the choice can be changed later.

Ads never change a date or a result. No countdown, holiday date or calculator output is sponsored, and advertisers have no say in what a page says. Some occasion countdowns, such as Halloween or Christmas, also carry Amazon affiliate links for decorations and gifts, as the affiliate disclosure explains.
